Trista and I drove to Cuyahoga Falls, outside of Cleveland, to the very pretty Blossom Music Center to catch The Cure. The Twilight Sad, whom we did not know, opened and played a nice set (and recalled playing the Grog Shop in Cleveland). We arrived early and had lawn seats, so the torrential rain had us thoroughly soaked before and through the Twilight Sad's set. Then before The Cure came on the rain got even worse, with loud cracks of thunder and flashes of lightning that seemed right over our heads. The people on the lawn were evacuated to their cars (my second severe weather concert evacuation in a row, after Cruel World). The rain soon let up and the announcement went out that the show would continue. On the long walk back into the venue it started to rain again, but was happily shortlived.
